Tempête et Calme

Tempête et Calme, a poem by Jules Verne, written in 1848 when the author was just twenty, is published in a limited edition of 38 numbered and signed copies. The poem literally passes through a storm before reaching safe haven on the other side. The text, superimposed on a series of four mezzotints by Judith Rothchild, unfolds as a vertical leporello.
The mezzotints and screen prints were printed by the artist in the summer of 2004.

Mark Lintott printed the letterpress, handset in Vendôme romain, on an Albion press. The clamshell boxes and covers, with original screen prints by Judith Rothchild, are by Mark Lintott.
The books numbered 35/38 to 37/38, are hors commerce.

Format 12 x 6 ½ in. Text in French.
