Les Quatre Saisons
« Les quatre saisons», a suite of poems by Charles Cros from the collection Le Coffret de Santal, is accompanied by four mezzotints by Judith Rothchild. The book is printed in an edition of thirty five on Hahnemühle paper. The mezzotints and the screen prints on the wrappers, Somerset velvet are printed by the artist.
Each one of the four deluxe copies contain one of the original copper plates and a suite of mezzotints printed chine collé, numbered and signed by the artist. These copies, numbered 1/35 to 4/35 are presented in clamshell boxes. The books numbered from 5/35 to 35/35 are presented in slip-cases.
The books numbered 32/35 à 34/35 are hors commerce.
The hand-set letterpress, Vendôme Romain, is printed on an
Albion press by Mark Lintott.
The slipcases are by Marie-Pierre Vallin.
All the books are signed by the artist.
